Welcome to the Advent Hill Primary School website. Advent Hill Primary School is a day institution that follows the 8-4-4 curriculum system of education. It is owned and run by the Seventh day Adventist Church. We are located in Kajiado County- in a rapidly developing town of Ongata Rongai along Magadi road. We share a compound with Maxwell Adventist Academy (MAA), Adventist University of Africa (AUA) and the East Central Africa Division (ECD) offices.

We in AHPS believe that true education means more than pursuing a certain course of study. We subscribe fully to the fact that true Education has to do with the whole person and for the whole period of existence possible to human beings. This as our underlying principle coupled with the serene, conducive and dynamic environment enables us to inculcate into our pupils across the board from Pre-School to class eight, a strong desire to harmoniously develop their cognitive, psychomotor, affective domains of learning together with Spiritual powers.

 

We encourage all our pupils to participate actively in co-curricular activities that are offered in AHPS which range from sporting activities like soccer, basketball, badminton, tennis, netball and handball among others. All our pupils also enjoy swimming lessons on a weekly basis depending on the prevailing weather conditions. We also participate in The Kenya Music Festivals up to national level in all classes ranging from choral music, orchestra (piano, clarinet, violin, trumpet, trombone, cello, drums) and elocution with a focus on developing their language skills, personality and nurturing talent from a young age. AHPS prepares pupils for the ABRSM (advanced board of the Royal School of Music) examination annually and receives certification of successful pupils from Her Majesty the Queen of England.

We also engage all our pupils in the Adventurer and Pathfinder clubs which are for children between the ages of 6-15 respectively. These clubs are not only meant to nourish our pupils spiritually but also to promote life skills development, instill discipline, leadership and responsibility  which resonates within the AHPS motto of Nurture Ability into Responsibility.
